Speakerphone Paging is directed to a specific set of extensions, such as a department or work area, or all extensions in the system, with the exception of QCC operator roles, by Group Paging. For the first six speakerphone Paging Groups, the system automatically reserves extension numbers 793 through 798. Each speakerphone Paging Group can have up to ten extensions associated with it. The Page All group is the eighth speakerphone Paging Group, and it is factory-set to page all extension numbers. The Page All group is automatically assigned extension number 799 by the system. A speakerphone extension can be a member of up to seven Paging Groups (including the Page All group).
Generally, there is a button or page that targets a group if you want to utilize the Paging feature. If you are a page receiver, simply press the button or page, then wait for the machine to beep to finally begin conversing.
Select Application Settings and go to Select Personalize Labels. Choose the label you want to edit and enter your desired characters, numbers, or letters. If this doesn’t work with your handset, call your system provider for assistance since it might need to be done at the PABX.
To activate Call Forwarding, you must press the Features button, followed by the Call Forward button. Then, dial the 5-digit extension number to forward. Wait for the confirmation and hang up once the button lights up. This indicates confirmation of call forwarding.
Using IP Office Manager, go to File > Advanced > Reboot. Here, you can choose if you’ll have a specific time of rebooting your Avaya phones system or if you’ll do it immediately.
Look for the active call button on your phone screen and select Conf. Then, dial the phone number or search for the contact on the list. When it is answered, press join. If you need to bring others in, repeat the above.
To unlock an Avaya phone, look for the Features key and press the up and down buttons. After that, press the OK button and wait for the screen to display the unlock notification.
Go to your voicemail box by dialing *86 and entering your password. Once done, there will be voicemail messages in your voicemail box that you must listen to. While doing it, press 7 to delete all the voicemail messages. This saves you time and effort from deleting the voicemail messages one by one.
Press the Message key and choose mailbox. There will be a display called visual voice where you’ll record your greeting message. Use the cursor keys up and down to select the greeting button. Then, press the soft keys to record and listen to your mailbox greeting. Make sure that your greeting is clear and loud so that it can be heard properly by your listeners or message receivers.
The red lights on an Avaya phone can be removed but getting rid of them must be done properly. To do this, you need to press the program button and provide your extension number. If you turn it on again, you can program another button to establish a message light on. If not, you can enter another extension. Lastly, the Partner Mail System holds the last port of message lights on Avaya phones.
Go to the message button and press the mailbox. Look for the visual voice menu where you’ll press the up and down cursors to choose your greeting. Then, move to recording and listening to your greeting. Make sure that it is clearly recorded without any unnecessary voices to help your listeners hear it properly.
